Support 4-H with DeLaval at Canada's Outdoor Farm Show

PETERBOROUGH, ON (September 5, 2017) – Show-goers at Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show in Woodstock, Ontario, will find live robotic milking, industry experts ready to share new and proven solutions, chances to win daily giveaways and an opportunity to support 4-H, all in one place: the DeLaval exhibit in the Britespan Dairy Innovation Centre.

DeLaval is making it easy for attendees to show their support of 4-H throughout the show, September 12-14. Purchase ice cream in the DeLaval exhibit area, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to 4-H, supporting leadership and growth opportunities for the next generation of the dairy industry.

“We believe in the future of the dairy industry, and 4-H programs are an integral part of developing those future leaders,” says Fernando Cuccioli, Vice President of Market Area North America for DeLaval. “Many employees of DeLaval today are 4-H alumni, so we are proud to do our part in supporting the program.”

This promotion is one of many efforts in 2017 alone that DeLaval has initiated in support of 4-H. Other initiatives include sponsorship of the National 4-H Dairy Conference, the TD Canadian 4-H Dairy Classic at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, and various local youth dairy shows and awards.

Jason French, DeLaval Sales Solution Specialist, grew up with 4-H and has helped shape partnerships throughout Ontario. “4-H taught me how to be confident in my speaking abilities and that was used when practicing giving reasons at dairy club,” French says. “The organization also taught me that networking is a valuable skill and I am still friends with people that I met in 4-H.”

The BriteSpan Dairy Innovation Centre is located on the Northeast end of Canada’s Outdoor Park along Masonville Line. DeLaval looks forward to showcasing industry-leading solutions to producers from around the country.
